Abbot G. Spaulding, M.D.

Born in Chicago, Dr. Spaulding now resides and practices in Cincinnati. He graduated from the St. Louis University College of Medicine earning his Doctor of Medicine Degree in 1959. Dr. Spaulding completed his Internship at the Presbyterian-St. Luke Hospital in Chicago from 1959-1960. He then went on to be a Lieutenant of the Medical Corps in the U.S. Navy from 1960 - 1962. Keeping a status of Lt. Commander of the Medical Corps in the U.S. Navy Reserve in 1962, Dr. Spaulding completed his Residency in 1965 from the Cincinnati General Hospital, specializing in Ophthalmology. His Fellowship training in Ophthalmic Pathology took place at the National Institute of Health in Washington, DC., completed in 1966. Dr. Spaulding's professional affiliations include the OOS, OSMA, AMA, the Georgiana Dvorak Theobald Society, the A.F.I.P. Ophthalmic Alumni Association, the Eye Study Club of America, International Society of Ophthalmic Pathology, ABO, AAO, ACS, AAOP, and the AOS. Dr. Spaulding is licensed though the State of Ohio in Ophthalmology and Board Certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology since 1967.
