Daniel C. Love, M.D.

Dr. Love was born in Zanesville, Ohio. He graduated from Miami University in 1978, receiving an A.B. Magna Cum Laude. He received his M.D. degree in 1982 from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. An internship in internal medicine was completed at the Jewish Hospital of Cincinnati in 1983. Dr. Love then completed a residency in ophthalmology at the Washington Hospital Center in Washington, D.C., where he was appointed chief resident in 1986.

Dr. Love is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. He is a fellow in the American Academy of Ophthalmology, a member of the Ohio Ophthalmological Society, the Cincinnati Ophthalmology Society, and numerous local, state, and national medical associations.

In addition to routine adult and pediatric eye care, Dr. Love has a special interest in small-incision cataract surgery and intraocular lens implant surgery, in which he utilizes the most modern surgical techniques. He also uses ophthalmic laser surgery for glaucoma, diabetes, and other disorders. Additional areas of interest include pediatric eye disorders and eye muscle surgery.

Dr. Love has been an assistant clinical professor of ophthalmology at the University of Cincinnati since 1993. He is an attending surgeon at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Cincinnati where he instructs ophthalmology resident physicians in cataract surgery. He is also a preceptor for the Mallory Center for Premedical Education at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. Dr. Love has a variety of interests outside his practice involving his children's activities, church, and community organizations.
