Born in Grand Rapids, Michigan, Dr. Cepela now resides in Cincinnati, Ohio with his wife. Dr. Cepela graduated from the University of Michigan in 1984, earning his Doctor of Medicine Degree. He then went on to attend The Primary Care Physician Internship Medical School in Paris, France for Internship in 1984. Dr. Cepela then returned to St. John's Hospital in Detroit to complete the training in 1985. Dr. Cepela's specialties include cosmetic surgery of the eyelids, tumors involving the eye socket and eyelids, reconstruction of the mid-face following injuries and birth defects, care of artificial eye sockets and other problems related to the eye, tear duct, and orbit. He also has professional affiliations with the AMA, AAO, American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Cincinnati Academy of Medicine, Cincinnati Society of Ophthalmology, Ohio State Medical Society, Northern Kentucky Medical Society and the Kentucky Medical Association. Dr. Cepela is licensed though the State of Ohio and Kentucky in Ophthalmology and Board Certified since 1991 from the American Board of Ophthalmology.
