Sean P. Davitt, M.D., a Board Certified Ophthalmologist, graduated with highest honors from the University of California at Santa Barbara, where he completed his bachelors degree in biology with a 4.0 grade point average in just three years. Dr. Davitt then completed four years of medical school at University of California at Davis, where he received the Award of Excellence in Ophthalmology for his clinical and research performance. He served a one year internship in Internal Medicine at the University of California at Irvine, and then traveled to the University of North California at Chapel Hill to complete a three year residency in Ophthalmology. During residency, he underwent surgical training at the Minneapolis Veterans Hospital, one of the top Ophthalmologic surgery training centers in the country. Dr. Davitt moved to Cincinnati to join Tri-State Centers for Sight, with his wife who is a native of Cincinnati.

Dr. Davitt has authored numerous scientific papers on cornea and cataract research, which have been published in journals such as Cornea and the American Journal of Ophthalmology. His research has been presented at the international conference of the Association for research in vision and Ophthalmology. He has reached out through local Cincinnati newspapers to educate about eye health. Dr. Davitt is a member of the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the Academy of Medicine of Cincinnati, the Ohio State Medical Association, and the Ohio Ophthalmology Society.

Dr. Davitt specializes in small incision no-stitch cataract surgery and laser treatments related to cataract surgery and glaucoma. He maintains a comprehensive medical eye practice, carefully evaluating patients of all ages for eye problems ranging from glasses and contact lens needs, to dry eye, macular degeneration, and traumatic eye injuries.
